Renters move a lot, and every move can leave your registration out of date. With EDR, you can fix it on the spot and still vote. No missed deadlines, no provisional ballots.
How it works: Bring ID with proof of residency to your polling place, sign an oath saying you’re eligible, and vote.
EDR is already law in 23 states, some for 50+ years.
Why this matters for housing justice
When your home is stable, your voice gets louder. And when more of us vote, we can win real protections like rent stabilization in 2028. Rent control isn’t on the ballot this year, but we’re not going anywhere.
